A $90 Billion Crowd Funding Market

It’s the ultimate disruptive force for real estate… Bridging the commercial divide, crowd funding is linking average, accredited investors to property once thought attainable by only wealthy families and institutional investors.  It’s estimated that 7% of the U.S. population is considered accredited.

But it's not just accredited investors being presented with the opportunity these days.  Starting today, as I mentioned here, every day investors can take part, too.

Even venture capitalists are getting involved.  They’re attracted to the strong, steady flow of cash through online platforms. In fact, according to a report by the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate (as highlighted by Investor Intel), crowd funding has grown from $1.5 billion in 2011 to $5 billion in 2014.

It could grow to $10 billion by the end of 2015.

Better still, that's only expected to accelerate moving forward. By 2025, in fact, the space could be worth nearly $90 billion.
